Kubota Tractors

“Our return on investment in transactionSHUTTLE has been in less than six months. transactionSHUTTLE usage has increased the accuracy of our SAP data and has significantly optimized many of our work processes”

Edward Wilson, Accounts Payable and Budget Control Manager, Kubota Tractors

Kubota Tractor Corp. (KTC) is a subsidiary of Kubota Corp. in Japan and does $8 billion of business every year with over 450 employees. KTC makes 0 to 100 horsepower tractors, RTVs, construction equipment and implements.

Kubota Tractors has been using transactionSHUTTLE since 2004 and their return on investment in transactionSHUTTLE has been in less than 6 months. It has increased the accuracy of data in SAP and has significantly optimized their work processes.

In one initial project, KTC started a new dealer incentive program where the accounts payable department needed to create over 1100 invoices for payment in SAP. The invoice data already existed in Excel files and manual entry of that data into SAP would take over 3 person-weeks of data entry time. Getting support from IS for this project was going to be very expensive and would take a long time. Using transactionSHUTTLE, the accounts payable business users were able to fully complete the project by first changing the vendor types for all the dealers and created all the 1100 invoices in SAP – all in less than 7 hours without requiring support from the IS team!

The time and expense saved in just one project prompted KTC to look for many other applications of the transactionSHUTTLE program. Six months later, the ease-of-use of transactionSHUTTLE has enabled them to use it for over 25 projects, including material master updates, purchase info updates, vendor master updates, and, customer master updates
