transactionSHUTTLE lets you record virtually every transaction by recoding in batch, non-batch (Enjoy) or GUI. This recording shows transactionSHUTTLE how to run the SAP transaction which screens to go to and which fields to populate. For example, the SAP screenshot below is for an MM01 transaction (to create a new Material Master record in the SAP system).
With an intuitive UI, non-technical users can easily set up SHUTTLEfiles. The Map screen (shown below) contains all of the fields that were touched during the recording. By simply dragging and dropping, users are able to map SAP fields to Excel columns, and by the direction they drag let transactionSHUTTLE know whether they are uploading data to SAP or reading data from SAP. It is possible to develop files which do both.
To handle complex data types it is possible to add logical branches so that one script can handle multiple types of data. In addition it's also possible to add loops. Looping creates a repeatable process that lets transactionSHUTTLE automate variable line items common in many transactions such as sales orders and purchase orders, etc. A SHUTTLEfile can also link many scripts, saving time and money by automating the business process. A backup sheet of the existing SAP data is automatically created before uploading the new data into SAP.
Run the recorded and mapped SHUTTLEfile using data from your Microsoft Office Applications. Each run executes the recorded SAP transaction one time, or thousands of times depending on the number of rows in the Excel file. Messages returned from the SAP system are logged conveniently into the same file, along with data records, making this a complete self-documented file. The same recording can be run on a different Excel file of the same format. A sample run for Material Master Creation is shown below. If one of the records cannot be uploaded into the SAP system due to errors in the data, the error message is displayed in the log column for that record. transactionSHUTTLE will continue to upload data for the remaining records, so that there is no downtime.
