Position summary

You will perform monthly general ledger activities in accordance with GAAP and statutory rules. Your responsibilities will be split between UK, FR and DE general ledger activities (20%), US/local GAAP accounting principles and company reporting (80%). You will perform a wide variety of regular and recurring, moderately complex, accounting functions.

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of local and EMEA consolidated financial statements balance sheet, income statement, and other financial statements according to US and local GAAP.
  • Responsible for preparing complex monthly accounting journal entries, including EMEA transfer pricing, intercompany settlements, global dividends, foreign exchange reconciliations, CTA calculations, intercompany intangible assets amortizations and goodwill amortization.
  • Assist in preparing and filing statutory accounts and tax returns for all local offices and liaison with tax vendors and third-party accounting providers.
  • Perform complex local statutory to US GAAP account reconciliations to source documents and research variances: equity roll forward, retained earning reconciliations.
  • Assist with the annual external consolidated GAAP audit, tax compliance and other regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to accounting inquiries by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Global accounting teams to support reporting, automation, and process improvement across the global organization.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations and treasury functions for the entire EMEA region, including cash forecasting and intercompany settlements.
  • Work closely with Accounting Manager and the global Corporate Controller explaining monthly financial matrix variances and budget to actual variances.

  • Working knowledge of Great Plains, Adaptive Planning, Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and financial reporting skills using Excel, including advanced formula writing using functions, and data analytic skills.
  • Experience generating reporting to support finance and business stakeholders.


  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or similar field) from an accredited institution.
  • Fully ACCA or CIMA qualified.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of related experience.
