Associate Accountant


Reports to: Supervisor, Accounting

Position summary

This role will perform monthly activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and making payments for Winshuttle India. This role has daily interaction with other departments across the company therefore it requires advanced verbal and written communication skills.

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Complete Accounts payable activities for India Winshuttle on daily basis
  • Perform reporting activities per specific deadlines
  • Process vendor & employee’s invoices for approval, data entry and filing of invoices.
  • Review miscellaneous invoices and check requests for proper approval and inputting these items into the accounting system for payment.
  • Monitor Purchase order process and approvals
  • Update and Reconcile bank accounts on regular basis.
  • Resolution of vendor inquiries regarding outstanding purchase orders or invoice
  • Process credit card transactions.
  • Review aged payable reports and addressing delinquent items with vendors or contractors
  • Assist with monthly closing responsibilities as assigned
  • Maintain all filing for the accounting function
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts
  • Assist in STPI Compliances – Filling Monthly progress report (MPR), LOP renewal, Green card renewal and Annual Progress Report (APR).
  • Handle all external party communications – Consultant, Banking & Government departments.
  • Timely circulation of Form 16A to all the vendors.
  • Prepare monthly working for Export Invoice and making Transfer Pricing calculation.
  • Secretarial compliances – maintain record of minutes of board meeting.
  • Assist in shared service center activities as per requirement.
  • Handle Concur software for global employee’s expense claim.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical and financial reporting skills using Excel, including advanced formula writing using functions, and data analytic skills.
  • Experience generating reporting to support finance and business stakeholders.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ work experience in Finance, Accounting, or Consulting
  • Working knowledge of Tally, Great Plains.
