Associate DevOps Engineer


Reports to: Director, Information Security & Operations

Position summary

The Associate Development Operations Engineer will support the deployment of our cloud platforms, while improving and automating the operational processes that insure sustainability and stability of all our online applications. This role will support the maintenance of the automate release, change, deployment, and incident processes that will enable your team to manage and sustain the production environments.  As part of the Cloud Operations team, they will support the test, systems, and software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve incidents that arise with the online application in a 24 x 7 environment.

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Responsible for documenting Help Desk tickets using Help Desk software.
  • Responsible for managing virtual infrastructure including deploying new virtual machines and managing image library.
  • Responsible for monitoring and administering software licensing using Software inventory system.
  • Responsible for deployment, maintenance and support of applications.
  • Monitor and optimize performance for enterprise applications deployed by Winshuttle.
  • Responsible for maintenance and support of build and release pipelines
  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure deployed in Kubernetes
  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoots hosted cloud resources

  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with all levels of Employees.
  • Ability to operate independently when provided with objectives and prioritized tasks.
  • Understanding of Agile Sprint Process and Source Control (git) process
  • Requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, strong multi-tasking ability, ability to work as part of a multi-faceted team and high level of professionalism


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT Admin or Engineer role
  • Certifications desired: MCSE, MCP, MCITP, CCNA
  • PowerShell (1-2 year’s experience)
  • Systems: managing Windows & Linux Servers and other PaaS resources in Public cloud
