Position summary

As the Manager, Marketing you will be responsible for the marketing strategy and execution for your assigned market to amplify impact and drive growth for Winshuttle. This position is responsible for understanding the market and sales challenges faced within our industry overall and within your regions and lines of business.

This role requires strategic marketing leadership, cross-team and organizational collaboration, excellent communications, and a passion for creating compelling, conversion-oriented experiences across the customer journey. You will lead a team of marketers and internal/external support staff to define and deliver integrated and aligned strategic marketing plans, that deliver defined and tangible results.

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Acts in a consultative role with sales directors and marketers in distilling sales goals into marketing plans that drive sales.
  • Leads the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies: channel mix, content and promotional components, web experience, targeted demand generation campaigns, and events marketing.
  • Applies a deep understanding of performance marketing and best practices to add value to how we develop and deploy marketing plans to our chosen audiences, taking into consideration local market sales models, benchmarks, historical performance and more.
  • Provides support and guidance to the marketing managers to help navigate the developmental aspects of their plans, as well as the tactical delivery and optimization.
  • Makes sure best practices are well understood and adhered to particularly around consistent delivery of brand experience, work involving systems like GoToWebinar, Salesforce.com, Marketo, WordPress and more.
  • Recommends budget for marketing spend for each program and monitors the budget for each marketing program campaign with the goal of optimizing return on marketing investment.
  • Writes and edits copy and work with external vendors and internal collaborators.
  • Builds and manages a team of marketers and create an environment for success, including resource management, hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Is a strong voice representing the customer experience across all conversations and projects.
  • Works closely with product marketing to support the sales organization with resources and information to allow them to more effectively prospect and follow up on marketing activities, joint activities and account-based marketing programs.
  • Drives industry marketing efficiencies, identify ways to scale our industry efforts globally, optimize across the team and push boundaries on new approaches.
  • Sets clear and measurable metrics and fosters a “test and learn” approach to continually improve performance. Provide reporting, insights and actions across various levels in the company.
  • Leverages the help of internal team members across the company as well as third party experts, vendors and suppliers to deliver on marketing programs in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.
  • Leads EnterWorks public relations and thought leadership programs, working with agencies and third-party experts.

Knowledge

  • BS/BA degree in business, marketing, or equivalent related degree preferred. Advanced degree appreciated.
  • Sales Force, Marketo a plus
  • Strong PC-based computer skills; proficient with MS Office Suite.

Experience

  • 8+ years in an industry marketing or equivalent experience. Experience working with a variety of industries is preferred. Strong audience marketing skills: experience creating personas and messaging for various audience segments.
  • Skilled at planning, executing, and optimizing B2B multi-channel demand generation and industry marketing programs.
  • Proven track record for motivating and coaching a team. Excellent people skills especially working to align teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong at Business Partnering – you engage with and value partnering closely with key cross-functional teams to support our customer and drive the business.
  • Customer obsessed – your strategy and creative thinking starts with the customer and works backwards.
  • Keen understanding of how strategies and plans are driven by audience insights and behaviors.
  • Energy and Enthusiasm – you believe in what we are doing and will not stop at anything to deliver on your goals.
  • Strategic marketer who can make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous environment.
  • Strong understanding of how to create unparalleled brand experiences and a track record for delivering innovative, high quality programs.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple programs.
  • Excellent Communicator & Presenter – outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong presentation skills and a passion for storytelling.
  • Analytical – you love understanding data, patterns, and trends.
  • Technically Savvy – you do not shy away from opportunities to get into technology – and you can learn it quickly.
