Position summary

This senior role is responsible for engaging with customers, Sales and other key stakeholders in developing the Winshuttle cloud product roadmap & plan for the release of software from concept through product launch.   This technical role provides appropriate documentation content, internal guidance and product management leadership around cloud-based joint product capabilities and the Winshuttle hosted products to support product marketing, sales and customer success to assist with the marketing, selling and support of Winshuttle hosted cloud products. This role should be able to support product strategies and roadmap as well as act as a product owner and work with other product managers for joint product solution releases simultaneously.

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Investigate cloud related and joint product solution feature requests considering competitive landscape, strategic alignment and value to customers to help define scope of plan of record and plan of intent.
  • Tasks include collaboration with Product Managers DevOps, and Engineering to schedule and define feature scope for development stakeholders around changes and new features in accordance with the product roadmap
  • As a Subject Matter Expert on Cloud based Products, engage with Product Marketing, Sales and at time customers to formulate or share roadmap plans and gather feedback.
  • Be the evangelist for the cloud product at events, trade shows, with partners. Analyze customer and partner feedback.
  • Can present product or cloud related technology or go to market ideas or plans that we want feedback around at Winshuttle User Groups and company events/team meetings.
  • Assist in collecting this market and customer feedback through surveys, market research, service call data review, field feedback from focus groups and consultants, and collating input to identify user needs and define product requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Product Management to develop and maintain competitive analyses, identify new players, trends and opportunities in the market.
  • Adjust the features and priority as needed to propose conceptual releases and support Engineering in executing on projects.
  • Work with UI designer or UX resources for any beta programs or user feedback sessions to address the customer experience.
  • Own cross-functional delivery scheduling and expectations management for Go-To-Market activities in both formal and informal settings to ensure that proposed solutions meet customer requirements and commitments made to customers.
  • Act as the pivotal point of contact for product marketing leads and development managers as well as other members within the product management team for one or more given product release planning areas.
  • Ensure that the product features are well positioned by the product marketing team in the context of cloud competitors to are enhance our customer’s product experience.
  • Uses product management processes and best practices to plan and launch product releases.
  • Receives work assignments in the form of quarterly objectives with SMART goals and a peer review process by which to assess/meet goals.
  • Delegates work to others in the job family according to established procedure and practices.
  • Be involved in day to day tactical sales and customer support and operational activities of the product, but not losing sight of their primary goals.
  • Provide customer context to the engineering, marketing and product team to help build better products or provide creative solutions to customer needs.
  • Involved in developing, modifying and executing company processes that affect product management and may also have company-wide effect solving issues.

Knowledge

  • Experience of working on complex issues where analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Knowledge and understanding require to exercises judgment in selecting methods, creative techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives.
  • Proven ability to effectively lead DevOps automation projects
  • Proven ability to understand the impact of our cloud technology on our customer’s business challenges, processes, and efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to explain benefits of a technical product / solution to a client in relation to the client’s business needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work interdependently and to manage multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Ability to translate technical information into easy-to-understand language for others
  • Ability to quickly learn existing EnterWorks and Evolve product capabilities and becomes knowledgeable on the addressable market for them as a joint product solution.
  • Establishes best practices and assures adherence to product management processes and tools.
  • Understanding of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
  • Understanding of Scrum Master methodologies
  • Understanding of deployments and automation through build pipelines facilitating no-touch or low-touch maintenance
  • Understanding of orchestration platforms, such as Kubernetes

Experience

  • BE / Btech or MBA with 4+ years in product management experience, 2+ years working with cloud-based products.
  • Experience with cloud-based DevOps automation and management technologies
  • Experience with formulating cloud-based product pricing is a plus.
  • Experience with a Product Information Management (PIM), Master Data Management (MDM) or Digital Asset Management (DAM) system is a plus
  • Experience with forms and workflow and portal products is a plus.
  • Has applied Agile process methodologies with engineering organizations to become more predictable in terms of schedule and quality.
