Solutions Engineer

Reports to: Director, Solutions Engineering

Position summary

The Solutions Engineer will work with the Winshuttle Sales team to deliver online and in person product demonstrations, Proof of Concepts, and Pre-Sales Training. This position acts as the trusted technical advisor when engaging with customers, prospects, and partners. The primary focus is to influence potential customers of Winshuttle’s technical superiority, while collaborating and supporting Winshuttle’s Account Executives in their efforts to champion and sell Winshuttle products.

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Uses knowledge of SAP and Winshuttle products, processes, and consultative selling skills to assess and educate customers on role and value of Winshuttle products
  • Builds in-depth knowledge of clients’ technical priorities, challenges and initiatives and maps those needs to Winshuttle products and services
  • Builds relationships within the account to become the trusted technical advisor
  • Responsible for working with Account Executives in proposing solutions that meet customers’ needs
  • Create and maintain pre-sales materials and collateral
  • Develop and implement proof of concept sessions with potential customers
  • Deliver pre-sales training
  • Deliver online and in person product demonstrations
  • Up to 50% Travel

Knowledge

  • Must be comfortable describing technical software solutions to various business groups within an organization including; finance, human resources, sales and distribution, and information technology
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a changing environment
  • Support Sales by using a “solutions-oriented” approach that uses consultative sales techniques
  • Possess analytical skill set, strong presentation skills, and ability to interact with any level within an organization
  • SAP (or other ERP) knowledge/experience a plus

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years working in technical pre-sales or sales
  • Proven ability to effectively deliver sales results
