Position summary

The System Administrator will be the first line of IT support for Winshuttle employees including remote employees. This role is critical to the reputation of the IT department and requires exceptional work prioritization, customer service and communication skills. The role will manage the daily user requests, software and workstation maintenance and patching with an emphasis on automating solutions in those areas.

The System Administrator will be responsible for deploying and supporting enterprise applications and maintaining documentation. The System Administrator will assist with managing a Hyper-V environment and associated storage network while assisting in the planning, design, implementation and operation of IT projects.

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Provide support by troubleshooting client hardware, OS, applications, peripherals, network and/​or connectivity problems
  • Responsible for creating, terminating and administering all user accounts including Active Directory, Office 365, GoToMeeting etc
  • Responsible for managing to help desk tickets using help desk software.
  • Responsible for managing virtual infrastructure including deploying new virtual machines and managing image library
  • Responsible for monitoring and administering software licensing using Software inventory system
  • Training Winshuttle employees in the use of Windows and all standard business software deployed on employee computers including creation of knowledge base articles and instructional documents
  • Responsible for deployment, maintenance and support of applications
  • Monitor and optimize performance for enterprise applications deployed by Winshuttle
  • Manage corporate data backups
  • Manage video conferencing and web conferencing solutions
  • Occasional travel to French and German offices required

  • Certifications desired: MCSE, MCP, MCITP, CCNA
  • Education desired: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
  • Systems: Windows Server, Windows 7/8/10, SharePoint, Hyper-V, Office 365, Azure, Salesforce
  • High level of proficiency with Veeam Backup, Microsoft System Center, Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL Server is desirable


  • 2-3 years previous experience managing an Active Directory domain, Office 365, Azure, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server and related technologies
  • 2-3 years of experience working with an Enterprise helpdesk system including automation of same
